A Sorcerer's Chronicle
At the height of the first Crusade, Damien is one of the most gifted praecantators the Guild has ever seen. He is a master sorcerer, a formidable warrior, and the rider of the stone dragon. There are whispers that Damien will one day be more powerful than Bellion, the last of the Praecantor Kings and Queens. But while Damien has the respect of his peers and the promise of a bright future, the only thing he cares about is avenging his family who was executed by the Guilds. Along with his older brother Marcus, Damien has been plotting to bring the Guilds to their knees. But to do so he needs to find Bellion’s scepter. Only then will he be able to overthrow the Guilds’ leaders and drag Europe out of the Dark Ages.
But before Damien gets the chance to find the scepter, he is betrayed and sucked into a time vortex that transports him to a small town in modern-day, upstate New York where things are looking bleak. Technology has transformed people into scroll-happy drones who are utterly dependent on their electronic devices. The Guilds are at war. Magic is dying—along with the planet. And above all more and more sorcerers are selling their souls to the dark arts. The only thing that can save their way of life is Bellion's scepter, and only Damien knows where to find it. But first, he must track down three keys. Enlisting the help of a misfit group of sorcerers, Damien sets out on an international treasure hunt to find the keys, set the past to rights, and maybe save the future.
